In the workshop, we’ll try a variety of quilting tools so you can see which works best for YOU. Try before you buy!We’ll work hard, but have lots of fun! (‘cuz I don’t mess with Texas!)In the workshop, we’ll learn a variety of motifs, marking techniques and how to create beautiful stitches on any sewing machine. The original plan was to make this adorable sampler…But I couldn’t help myself!We’ll also have the option to make the “Don’t Mess with Texas!” version!There are a few spaces left! I do love your Texas design! I lived there for 32 years and have many fond memories of the state, but now live in Oregon. I want to thank you for your terrific quilting designs!! I have used many of them and just used the braided wheat design in a border. It took me a while to get it to look halfway good. I was glad to see your designs in the AQS magazine. Thanks again from a home machine quilter!!

Love this Texas design! I’m a full-blood Texan. Will have to give this a try.

New Mexico’s shape is almost a square with a little bloop at the NW end. I will definitely try it!

Oh my goodness!!! That is amazing. Where can I find instructions? I have a cowgirl quilt I have finished but not quilted. Thank you for the super cute design.

As a born and bred (but currently misplaced) Texan, I love that quilt. Have fun in my home state. Wish I was there, too.

Anilla, nothing wrong at all with Lake Superior Lake Trout, or have they gone by the wayside, since I was a child,(a piddly some 70 yrs or so ago).

I love trout; it is my favorite fresh water fish.. But when I want oysters, crab and scallops, trout don’t fetch it.

Oh I wish I could go!! I’m in San Antonio and would love to make the trip but I have to work…booo! Hey! Can you teach how to FMQ Bluebonnets?? That’s our lovely state flower and I’d love to see what you can do with those! Enjoy your class and welcome to Texas!

The Texas block is superb!** It would be a privilege and a delight to meet you and watch you work but I’m not a traveler. Are there ever any quilt shows on the east coast, mid-Atlantic region? (sigh!)
**p.s. If I were you, I’d prepare myself to get requests for lots of different state block designs. (By the way, I live in Pennsylvania, hint-hint) ; – }

I need to move back to Texas. More going on in the quilting world there than in Mo. I will have to try the Texas project you have there. Thanks

Sounds wonderful, congrats! Took a class last year for ruler work, was a lot of fun and learned lots. Heading to Arizona end of the month on holiday. Looking forward to all you will post about your trip and class. Thank you for all you do and share!

I’m taking a thread painting class, and I’ll take at least one of the “freebie” classes. The biggest concern I have about the classes is keeping the seafood off the fabric. I live in da UP, so when I’m within sniffing distance of an ocean I eat seafood, pretty much non-stop. Up here the local grocery’s “seafood” section if filled with perch and crappie. Perfectly acceptable aquatic fish, but I want SEAFOOD. From the SEA. The big one. With salt water.

I’m taking a couple classes at the Daytona AQS quilt show in early March, and can’t wait! The last time I had a chance to take classes was 2 1/2 years ago in Madison.

Well, yahoo! and boy-howdy! Lori. Wish Colorado was a little closer to Texas so I could attend. I look forward to seeing another time in another place. Wishing you safe travels and lots of fun.

I always get a kick out of these state shaped things. I live in Colorado. Our state is square. Easy to copy!
