Hello Quilters!
Thank you for visiting Lori Kennedy Quilts. If you love make quilts, but are intimidated or uninspired by the quilting phase, you’ve come to the right place! I will guide you every step of the way-from finished quilt top to cherished heirloom.
I believe quilting should be fun! I will show you how to stop worrying about stitching perfection and replace it with your unique quilting personality. My goal is to teach you how to create quilts with a hand-drawn quality-not ruler perfection.
Yes, YOU can turn that stack of UFOs into completed quilts!
My Story
Free motion quilting is my passion! I learned to quilt on a small, domestic sewing machine more than twenty years ago and I continue to practice and learn about quilting almost every day!
My quilt designs are inspired by the Welsh hand-quilting tradition. I love quilts with a hand-drawn quality that include personal details like handwriting and whimsical motifs.
My sewing studio has expanded over the years to include a large, domestic machine (BERNINA 770QE), a sit-down, longarm (BERNINA Q20) and, most recently, a longarm on a frame (BERNINA Q24 with Qmatic). I am proud to be a BERNINA Ambassador, though the tutorials found here are designed for all machines.
I love to share my passion with others, and am excited to share tips, techniques and ideas with YOU!
