More Doodling with Scallops and Lines

March 18, 2020
Good Afternoon, Quilters!

Today we will continue to doodle with scallops and lines. Basic shapes can be combined to create a wide range of patterns.

Just keep your pencil moving!

See how many different shapes and patterns you can create with scallops, tapered scallops, circles and lines. (Tutorials and ideas below.)

My Favorites

I filled several pages with  combinations. Here are some of my favorites:

Fish and water?–maybe I will flip the scallops next time so it looks like water!

Simple Leaves on the margin.

If I used a green pen, I’d have stationery!

Shallow scallops create a pretty flower.  Adding spokes really creates interest!

Another variation of the flowers.

What about YOU?

Have you quilted any of YOUR doodles?

Are YOU doodling everyday?

We’d LOVE to hear!

Happy Doodling!
