    Lady Curzon wore this dress in 1903, had a daughter in 1904 and died in 1906. Not a great time to be living for women.

    It is even more stunning to see it in it’s display case at Kedleston Hall, I’m lucky enough to live reasonably close so often visit. I love Gold work and this is a magnificent example. If your ever in England try to visit Kedleston Hall, you won’t be disappointed.

    Holy moly – I found it interesting that the case the dress is stored in has its own environment. Amazing the technology used to keep these textiles in such good shape for us to see and wonder at.
