Good Morning, Quilters and Tea-Lovers!
Last week we quilted a stack of teacups.
This week, let’s add a teapot!
Begin by stitching a large circle with a slightly squared off top. ( Or, be creative and begin with any shape!)
Start stitching on the center bottom and stitch 1-1/2 revolutions, ending on the center top.
Stitching from the center to the left, add a semi-circle. Stitch the semi-circle 1-1/2 times, ending on the top.
Add a small circle, again stitching the circle 1-1/2 revolutions.
Echo stitch the right side of the lid and pot, then add a curved handle on the right side.
Echo stitch the inside of the handle and the right side of the teapot–all the way to the bottom.
Add a half circle base and embellish the inside of the base (optional).
Echo stitch the left side of the circle and curve out to the left to create the spout.
Add an oval–1-1/2 revolutions.
Stitch a short line to attach the oval to the side of the teapot and echo stitch back again.
Add a few curly lines to complete the Teapot Motif!
In just four minutes, a perfectly brewed pot of tea!!
I think a doodle quilt is brewing…
