Downton Abbey
Have YOU seen Downton Abbey the movie? Check out the official Downton Abbey trailer HERE.
I was excited to see it, though I don’t think it was as good as the TV series. However, I did enjoy seeing the cast. As usual, Granny (Maggie Smith) had the best lines. It’s a toss up as to who had the best costumes–perhaps Edith?
In any case, seeing Downton Abbey left me wanting a spot of tea!
How to Machine Quilt a Teapot Pattern
Begin by stitching a spiral. End on the top left.
Add 2-1/2 slightly convex lines over the top. Stop in the middle.
Echo stitch the spout and add an oval.
Closely echo stitch the side of the teapot, then add lines to create the base of the teapot.
Complete the teapot pattern by echo stitching the right side.
Teapot Personality
Every time I doodled and quilted this teapot, it came out different. Modify the basic recipe–to create YOUR own teapot. I can picture a cupboard –or border -full of teapots with personality!
Add a Teacup!
Of course, you’ll need a teacup. Try this tutorial for How to Machine Quilt a Teacup Pattern-It’s easy!
What’s YOUR Cup of Tea?
