My dad died when I was 22 and he was 46.. He had been ill for years tho, so it was not unexpected. He was very creative, making things. He never got to see the big family that he started off. He always trusted me with things (take car out of town!) and I wanted to make him proud of me too. Always he told me, “Be a sweet girl and always trust God.”
In my 70’s now, I remember him well and miss him til we are reunited in Heaven.

My father was wonderful. He fought General Rommel’s troops in WWII and survived to come home to my mom, whom he had married on September 13th, 1941. He went on to achieve his biggest goal in life, which was to raise a family. There were three of us kids and we all adored him. He was a modest, unassuming man – kind, gentle and sensitive, yet he had immense fortitude. When there were problems, he and mom always worked through them as a team. In a crisis, he simply did what needed to be done. When, as teenagers, we got into the usual peccadillos, he calmly straightened us out and disciplined us appropriately. He was a great example and we couldn’t have had a better dad.
We lost him 35 years ago and I miss him still.

Happy Fathers Day to those great guys that do so awesome everyday! Loved my dad immensely, but God called him when I was only 9.

Cool! Great for a sea-faring Dad. I have a balance toy much like this. I’ll have to give it a push a few times today.
Happy Fathers’ Day all you Dads out there.

What an awesome picture. Dad always new where we were going, even if we didn’t. Family road trip were the best. Dad loved the outdoors from camping to boating and fishing, hunting. Taught all seven of us how to ,paddle a canoe, tip it over and get it back the right way with as little water as possible and climb back in. He also taught us how to chute the rapids, set up camp and swim. Skating ,building snow forts, driving tractors, and cleaning what we caught fishing.
He taught us to work hard, and look after one another. Family was and is first.
He has been gone four years now, miss him, but Cherish all that he taught me.
Always enjoy what you share. Thank you🌻
