Good Morning, Quilters!
Halloween is just around the corner–but there’s still time to make ourselves a sewing treat!
Try the Pumpkin Pin Cushion HERE (photo above)
Or make the long Pin Pillow–handy when you pre-thread several needles. The extra-long shape prevents the tails from tangling! Read about it HERE and find a tutorial HERE
One of my favorite projects: the elegant velvet pumpkins. They look great for Halloween and even better as a Thanksgiving decoration!
It’s fun to have a few Halloween pillows, too…
Try a log cabin in Halloween oranges and gray!
What about you?
Do YOU treat yourself on Halloween?
Do YOU treat yourself with candy or with sewing time–or both together!?
Are YOU making any Halloween costumes?
We’d LOVE to hear!

I made a great Halloween quilt from a kit by Amy Bradley. It’s such fun!

I “get to” replace the zipper in a Halloween costume–my least favorite sewing in the world- but it is a cute costume that will keep my grandson warm! I am also enjoying my pumpkin from your tutorial in my décor this year. It looks great with a green leaf out of the same fabric as the little table mat it is sitting on. My arm is getting sore from patting myself on the back :).
Halloween is such a fun time and the decorations I see as I walk around town are fun and clever. I am hoping to finish quilting a Halloween throw with motifs from your tutorials like the spider, spider web, pumpkin, etc. I will try to send to you a picture when I am done —hopefully, this weekend.

I made the Pumpkin Pin Cushion the day the tutorial arrived in my inbox. It was fun and so many people have thought it so cute! I always meant to make some to share….because I wasn’t going to share mine apparently!

I made a wall hanging with a black spider that when you clap your hands (or other noise..door knocking) the spider drops down.

How does that work? Sounds cool!

More fall leaf sewing than Halloween although I made some little thread catcher bags out of Witch Hazel fabric to add a bit of fun to the sewing room :). I made your cute pumpkins in several sizes last year for gifts and kept a couple, they are so cute! I think I need a few more. I haven’t heard if I’m helping with grandsons Halloween costumes yet or not. It’s always fun!

I’m making costumes, along with quilting, this fall. I’m the costumer for a local high school and the fall show is Charlotte’s Web. We purchased animal costumes online, but adding vintage lace to Charlotte’s spider is just one fun addition. I go through lots of thrift stores to get items that will work. It’s a lot of fun!

That’s so funny since I’m reading Charlotte’s Web right now since I hadn’t been to the library to pick up some books and wanted something different to read besides quilting for a change.

I might have to read it again!
