Please celebrate with me– I have been selected to be a BERNINA Brand Ambassador!
This has been several months in the making…paperwork, phone calls, planning…
(and here’s where YOU came in…) One of the things BERNINA looked at was how many people follow The Inbox Jaunt– and how engaged they are–and of course–
We got a AAA rating for engaged readership!!
THANK YOU!
Last week I received my new BERNINA 770 QE!
BERNINA ambassadors get a beautiful new sewing machine in exchange for providing several educational tools to BERNINA each year like writing for their blog, WeAllSew, teaching, etc. (Sounds like fun to me!)
While, I’m just learning about all the bells and whistles (I’m actually excited about reading a manual-imagine that!?)…
A few things I love already: very responsive tension system, the placement of the needle down and presser foot down buttons, I LOVE the thread cutter-it cuts the bobbin thread underneath as well as on top-great for free motion quilting, and the new 97D Patchwork foot, Of course it has the same great features found on other BERNINAs-beautiful looking stitch, hands free lift system and more…
Thank you, Deb Engh and all the ladies at Bear Patch Quilting Co., White Bear Lake Minneosta,
Thank you, BERNINA,
AND…
None of this would have happened without YOU-–my very engaged readership-so THANK YOU!
In addition to learning my new sewing machine, I’m inspired to clean and reorganize my sewing studio!
Full report (and photos) to follow…

Congratulations! Before you forget how to use your 820, I have a question. When you free motion quilt on your 820 without the BSR, do you just select the quilting menu and lower the feed dogs? When I try this, I’m having tension problems, regardless of the tension adjustments I make.. Since most of your free motion quilting is done without the BSR, I was hoping you would have a suggestion. Is there another menu selection I need to make? Thanks.

Wonderful, Lori! My only Bernina is an old mechanical 830 I have had for 30 years. It is a workhorse, and I still use it.

I am so excited you have the 770 QE. I was looking at the 750 QE but hear this has even more improvements. My Bernina is from 1977 and I tried sewing in a course on the 750 QE. I really want to stick with Bernina so look forward to see what can be done on it. Congratulations. I voted for you in the blog contest and store all your emails in a folder.

Congratulations ambassador & kudos to Bernina for finally finding you. The kindnesses, generosity, & talent that you’ve shared with (us) all your followers has been rewarded & I for one feel like a family member has reached the summit of Mt. Everest. Well done Lori.

You have a wonderful imagination and eye for detail. I appreciate the free tutorials you offer. I am just learning to quilt. I have been sewing since I was 5 years old but just not learning to do the actual quilting part of the sewing. Can’t wait to try some of your suggestions.

Congratulations! I just recently began using the 97D foot on my Bernina 830 LE. Not only did it do a great job piecing, but I also liked it for SID quilting. For some reason, it made the process so much easier! Enjoy your new machine!
