I like to see your FMQ tutorials. They are so helpful. If you have any hints on appliqué I’d be interested in that too.
LJ
Your FMQ is absolutely outstanding and I can only hope to learn a 10th of what you teach. I love the stitching aspect and never get tired of it. Perhaps, more information on how you determine what design you choose to quilt with and the ways to mark your quilts for quilting.

This Joyful present is so so cute. I can’t wait to try it. I don’t know how you come up with all the cute designs over and over again..just blows me away. I can’t seem to open my mouth these days without Lori’s Blog this and Lori’s blog that coming out!! haha!. 🙂 Thank you for sharing all your “know how” and in such an easy to follow way. I can’t wait to try some Aurifil thread and the tweezers are a good idea…I need to remember to use them too.
I would love the FMQ tutorials to continue and maybe a project done with you…like a small wall hanging or something with your new lesson used on it somewhere each week. Would be so fun! I love all the tips and opinions on products too!
Laura
I love your tutorials and would love more. I’m going to add the Perfect Present design to two place mats I’m ready to quilt.
New things for 2014? I’d like to learn some quilting motifs to use with basic pieced blocks and I’d love some suggestions for a whole quilt design.
HeyJudee
I agree with everyone else, more FMQ tutorials. Your designs are fantastic!

Lori, thanks so much for the time and effort you give each week. I am still a beginner so I would love to see more simple designs that when combined can make a real impact on a quilt. (My favorite is still the double hearts)

Would love to see more and more free motion quilting tutorials. Thats why i am crazy about this sight! Would like to hear about different kinds of batting, although I love warm an natural. Also different kinds of threads, and some trapunto. I have tried it a little, but would like to see a tutorial from you! I “liked” you too!

I just want to know how you find the time to do all of this blogging and quilting and teaching! I’ve been in a quilting slump since September, just can’t get back into it, I keep hoping as I pop in every day inspiration will hit me!

Yours is my all time favorite quilting website. So glad I found you. I can’t wait until you get your book published, I’ll be one of the first in line. I love your step by step tutorials on quilting motifs that are simple, such as the pumpkin one. Show us some of your doodle pages too! Anything simple is great as I’m just taking FMQ in baby steps right now.

In 2014 I would appreciate info on how to plan a quilting design for a quilt. How does one decide how dense the quilting should be say for a child’s quilt, adult lap quilt, bed quilt (not good enough to talk show quilt). How do threads hold up – does Aurifil 50 wt take repeated washings or is King Tut 40 wt for example better for quilts that will be used. Thanks!
Mary Lou
Love love love your FMQ tutorials. I’ve used several on my holiday gifts. Thank you!!
Rhonda Rannow
How about seeing how different quilting looks with different kinds of batting: cotton vs poly vs wool, etc., and what the differences in the overall affects are? shrinkage; usage; heat/cool; before washing/after washing?? I understand there’s a whole lot on this topic! 🙂
Barb
Doodling! I love your doodles! I made 3 spider webs because they were so fun!
Charity
I would love to learn more about FMQ motifs for all over quilting or filling in large areas. I really enjoy your tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing them!

I really love your free motion tutorials and the questions on Fridays.
Debbie
I love your free motion tutorials, I prefer to use my long arm without a computer. Your ideas and instructions are so refreshing……..I challenge myself to use at least two on every quilt I quilt. Glad I found your blog…..
Judy @ GrandparentsPlus2
I am a newbie and have gotten pretty good at straight line quilting BUT I’d like to see some kind of free motion pattern that is easy enough for a newbie to do on a regular sewing machine. I love your blog and your tutorials, but they are so far above my skill level that I feel hopeless when I read them. Thank you for all your generosity in sharing your skills.
Leslie Schmidt
Hi Lori. Seeing as quilting is my least favorite part of the whole process, I need more help in that area. Your tutorials are great, so anything you do will be useful, I know.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Since I am relatively new to quilting I benefit from all blog posts. I would like to brave FMQ though. I just don’t feel I’m ready to take that step yet.
Pat Rime
I love your FMQ designs. You’ve already saved me a lot of time and money: I did my own quilting on a fleeced back quilt. I used the oak leaf design on the simple square patchwork, skipping alternate blocks by continuing the stem through the next block. I HAD NEVER DONE free motion quilting on an actual project. Nor had I used fleece for the backing. It was a hit. My oak leaves look a little like Christmas trees sometimes, but since it is on a hunting-themed fabric, it works. And the leaves show nicely on the very forgiving fleece backing, too.
Thanks so much.
Josie Dinwiddie
I’ve already had you “liked” for awhile now. I don’t remember when I found your blog but it has been my favorite one to read. I truly enjoy all your FMQ tutorials. You helped my Halloween Quilt be a success and I used one of your tree’s on my Christmas Quilt. Thanks for all your help!! and as for what I’d like for next year is for you to keep up the great work and for you to be a bit more careful at the machine 🙂 (no more needles through the fingers please 🙂 ) Merry Christmas
Melanie d
I would like to feel more at ease with free motion quilting!
Carole
I love your free motion quilting tutorials. I would like to see suggestions on how to choose the various ways to quilt traditional quilt patterns plus a continuation of the tutorials. Aurifil thread is my kind of thread.

Please, more FMQ designs! Especially filling in, nothing stippling like. Love the leaf ones, more like this. No appliqué, would love to make a New York Beauty style quilt. Love Aurifil.
