Good Morning, Quilters!
Congratulations! You have completed 4 weeks of machine quilting.
You’ve organized for quick quilting, learned how to set up our machines for FMQ and created a stack of quilt sandwiches. You’ve started a doodle habit and learned a variety of flower, loop, scallop and handwriting motifs. I bet you are quilting better every day–and there is so much more to come!
Time flies when you’re having fun!
Friday Gallery
Today’s gallery includes a few of my collection of horizontal sampler quilts.
What are your favorite motifs?
Make a sampler!
Happy Quilting,
Lori

I’m trying to mix up some of your examples and things I’ve always doodled like houses and childish stick flowers.
The row of lower case “Ls” was relatively easy right to left because my hand and brain know that path. The right to left mirrored ones are much more difficult. I may try working the beginning row right to left and mirroring left to right.

I love seeing what you do and what is possible. I am wondering if you can show us some motifs that will work on print fabric. While I can look forward to using more solids in the future, right now I have quilts to finish that have very patterned fabric and am having a hard time deciding how to quilt them. Thanks!
