This is Ruby…The younger of our two Australian Shepherds…She was both Naughty and Nice this year…In her stocking…a bag of “Snaps” (or a gift certificate to McDonalds-she loves their hamburgers!)
We don’t have a dog but do have 2 kitties and hubby insisted they get presents…birdies, and a cat nip ball, are just a couple of the presents we got them.
No dogs any more but a number of grandpuppies! And yes, they get little treats! I have a recipe for dog treats that is really healthy that I make up using a dog bone cookie cutter of course.
Love that cartoon! I don’t have a dog (I’ve always wanted one, but family allergies have prevented it), but my son does… I am hoping to make a nice big dog bed for him. But shhhhh, it’s a surprise. 🙂
My Mother’s dogs always love to get the squeaky toy out of the bag and tissue paper. They always know which bags have their gifts in so cannot put them under the tree or the gifts are opened before Christmas morning.
Unfortunately we had to put our 15+ yr old black Lab, Belle, to sleep 3 weeks ago:-( But yes, she always got a new bone and was the first to open presents Christmas morning.
Our rat terrier, Betsy, gets some new squeaky toys for Christmas. We try to find the ones that she can shake and will be sturdy enough to last at least a month!
I’ve always given my dogs Christmas presents. They love joining in the fun of opening pressies. I wrap them in lots of loose tissue and I think they enjoy that as much as anything that is inside.
We have a 14 week old Boxer puppy (Ollie) and we will for sure be getting something for him for Christmas!! Maybe a new toy or something to chew on to keep him busy!! He is a hyper little thing!! Merry Christmas!! 🙂
I don’t have a dog but our daughter has an Australian Shepherd who is a wonderful awesome person. We buy him bacon strips from Walmart and when we come to visit he sits at the door where they are stored and waits for me to give him one.
Our Aussie, Opie, looks a lot like your Ruby. He is getting a new stocking this year that I made with the twister ruler. It will be filled with treats.
I love the picture of Ruby! She looks like she is thinking of a ‘naughty’! Our dogs get peanut butter rawhide bones. They are hard to find sometimes, and I have to play referree, but they love them. I do love my furry boys!
We lost our sweet dog, Maggie, a golden retriever, to cancer in June. She was 5 1/2 years old. But she loved getting tennis balls and treats for Christmas!
Actually our dog, Alex, enjoys Easter more. My wonderful husband hides his Easter eggs (Milk Bone Treats) all over the house, and he gets to go on his own Easter egg hunt! Oh, the things we do for our dogs. By the way, Alex does have his Christmas stocking, and it will have lots of treats in it.

Our dogs get their Dog Licenses (doggie Bling for their “necklaces”), a bag of treats, and a new chew toy in their stockings. 🙂

Our Daphne gets a stocking chock full of treats and toys. She likes pulling off the wrapping paper but we have to grab it quick so she doesn’t eat it!

No dog, but we do put out fresh venison suet for the birds on Christmas Day.
