I’m Lori and I LOVE to machine quilt and I LOVE to share my passion with other quilters!

I’ve been quilting, doodling and designing motifs for more than twenty years.   In that time, I have made EVERY MISTAKE imaginable–so YOU don’t have to!  I’m constantly testing new  products and trying new techniques. (Some work, some do not!).  And I share it all here!  I am honored to be a  BERNINA Ambassador, Sulky Designer, Aurifil Artisan and OLFA Creator. My goal is to bring you all the best these (and other) companies have to offer.

My Daughters, Nora and Faye

I am delighted to be joined here by two of my five daughters, Faye and Nora!  Faye is a Business Analyst at Target  and Nora is taking time off from her career in marketing to raise her two sons.  Both Faye and Nora  are absolute beginners.  They bring a fresh perspective to quilting-as well as a reminder about what trips up beginners.

Our Mission

Here at Lori Kennedy Quilts, we are dedicated to bringing you the best quilting techniques and tools. You will find topics at all levels of the quilting spectrum. We write about topics for the absolute beginner as well as the advanced quilter.  We cover sewing room organization, how to choose the right thread, sewing machine maintenance,  why batting choice matters,  the best marking tool, and so much more!

There’s also photography (Silent Sundays), fine art (Seamstresses in Fine Art Saturdays), doodling,  nature walks, and so much more!  Be sure to join us for Open Line Fridays–where YOU get to ask YOUR questions!
