A Quick Project

Thread Catcher, Lori Kennedy

Good Morning, Quilters!

I received several “cookie cutter” (2-1/2 inch square) samples at Spring Market this year.

On my way home from Market, I ran into fellow Minnesota quilter,  Amanda Jean Nyberg, at the airport.

She suggested using the squares to make her thread catcher…

Find the pattern at Amanda’s website, CrazyMomQuilts.

Be sure to check out her wonderful new book, No Scrap Left Behind, too!–Amanda offers a wide variety of projects for using up scraps-from pillows to quilts.

I quickly stitched the squares together (a little too quickly–don’t look too close!)

And added Daisy Chain and Silly Spirals...

A perfect little project to use up your scraps AND

give you an opportunity to free motion quilt!

And it’s not a UFO!!!

Thank you, Amanda Jean!

Happy Quilting!

Lori
