It’s only the ninth day of January, and it’s already been a busy year! Some weeks it’s just impossible to get into my sewing room. Still, I never have trouble finding time to doodle.
Sometimes my doodles are as mindless as the “radiant orchid” scribbles below…But even that can spur an idea…Does it look a bit like an Easter Basket to you?
One of our followers would like a tutorial on my sidebar sewing machine doodle. I’m working on that in the doodles below.
As long as I can’t be at my sewing machine, at least I can doodle a few patchworks…
If you don’t get to stitch this week…try a few doodles or just scribble. At least you’re still being creative!

I can’t get to my machine for a few more months. This helps. Thanks.

I used to doodle, somehow got out of the habit. Thank you for encouraging me to start again. I got a new notebook and I’m carrying it with me. THANK YOU!

I doodle all the time too. I can’t watch TV without a sketchbook on my lap. I can certainly see the germ of several quilts designs going here…..

I tried to watch your Free Motion Quilt tutorial (any of them) and I could not get them to come up. Is there something I have to do to get them.

Hi Rosemary,
I think the links are all working. (They are all just still photos–no videos-yet!)

I keep finding little scraps of paper I have doodled on! I am in the middle of organizing my sewing room, so all those little scraps will have to stay piled until I get to the papers. Then I will decide how i want to organize them!
