Good Morning, Quilters!
It’s been awhile since I blogged last, but I’ve been a busy bee–and will share photos of my many projects in the weeks to come.
Today, I would like to share my 2022 teaching schedule. Sign up soon! In-person classes fill fast!
If you are not able to travel, there are several online and print options as well.
(Try YOUR hand at the Busy Bee tutorial HERE and another Bumblebee HERE.)
Paducah–Here We Come!
It has been a “bucket-list” adventure of mine to teach at Paducah. (I’ve never been to the Paducah show!) –so I was thrilled to be invited to teach there this April. I will be teaching seven workshops–yikes!!!
If you are interested, sign up soon as three of the classes are already filled.
Be sure to become an AQS member to get the best rates and to receive the American Quilter Magazine. (I write a column for AQ every issue!)
If you quilt on a domestic sewing machine, don’t hesitate to take the sit-down long arm classes. The techniques are all the same!

I’m also very excited to offer several quilt-a-longs for BERNINA’s blog We All Sew.
The first one begins in late February and is a beautiful, linen table runner featuring shamrocks.
The quilt-a-longs are designed to help you follow the process from start to finish.
I will share the quilt-a-long links here, so be sure to sign up to receive my post notifications on my “Welcome page” HERE.
American Quilter Magazine
American Quilter remains one of the premier quilting magazines in the industry. This will be my 8th year writing the My Line with Lori Kennedy column, featuring free motion quilting motifs. Don’t miss out on this fabulous periodical as well as the benefits of becoming an AQS member!
They are offering a gorgeous box of Wonderfil thread if you join soon!!!!
Scheduling YOUR Group
My schedule for 2022 is quite limited. I do have openings for Zoom presentations and private, small group workshops near Stillwater, MN.
In addition, I am scheduling warm climate guilds in December 2022, and January, February 2023. (Winters are looong in MN-LOL)
My other bucket list teaching class is at Asilomar….any time!

I would love to sign up for a ZOOM FMQ class with you, Lori. I have some spinal injuries and am not able to tote a sewing machine, etc. I have been doing ZOOM classes for several years and it has worked out for me. If you are going to be teaching one, I would really love to be in your class.
Take care and stay safe! Dale

In-person classes sound great. My husband is having some “fixing-up” done at the Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eagan, MN. Maybe one of his appointments will coordinate with the St. Cloud dates … we could make a slight detour up there as we travel from northwest SD. I’m guessing the class right there in Eagan in March is a closed event just for that guild’s members?

If we are already receiving your emails, like the one above, do we still need to sign up again on your “Welcome page?”

That is sufficient!

I would LOVE to attend one of your classes, Lori. Let us know when you’ll be on the west coast and I’ll be one of the first to sign up!!

If any of you reading this post are contemplating signing up for a class with Lori, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do so immediately!!! I followed Lori’s post many years ago when I was attempting to learn machine quilting on my new Bernina 830. She set me on the road to success. I was fortunate enough to take Lori’s class at the John C. Campbell Folk School. I learned so much that I took two subsequent classes (as did 10 of the students in the first class). Lori presents clearly organized, professional classes that WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Thank you Mary!! I really appreciate your kind words! We had so much fun at the Folk School—I almost forgot we were there to learn/teach quilting!
